Their car seats are claimed to be engineered by pediatricians and are very different from any other in the market providing 3 stages for newborn up to approximately 4 years of age that allow newborn to lie flat, thermo ventilation, marshmallow cushion, and the 360 degree rotating feature.
This seat is under Aprica's marshmallow line featuring a marshmallow shock absorbent foam and it is just really soft. There are no 'hard' foam in this seat just a marshmallow cushion throughout the entire seat. The soft goods is also very comfortable and very tropical region-friendly!
Aprica car seat comes in 3 different stages
The first stage is for new born up until about 4 months and it is bed orientation with the head support you removed later on as the child get older (super easy with just a removal of a sliding clips!). Head toward the center seat, of course.
The next stage is rear facing and you can either recline to 45 degree or upright.
We had Oliver in the upright ones.
The next stage is forward facing and you can no longer recline. It will always be upright. Not the most comfy one of course.
The rotation allows parents with small car to get their child in and out of the seat easily without having to bend over.
The spinning mechanism of the seat can be easily utilized by pressing the lever down and pulling the tap out.
The mechanism will only lock when the seat is facing sideway left or right, rearward, and forward
The seat also recline with a pull of an orange lever at the back of the seat.
The seat also come with foot prop/ leg support that allow up to 8 different positions to fit your vehicle.
This seat works really well in tropical area partially because of the presence of the ventilation to prevent the seat from getting too hot.
This feature work very nicely with the mesh fabric on the cover of the seat.
Other nice features of this seat is the harness retaining loops along either sides of the seat that help from having the harness from getting in the way.
And also 2 set of harness loops that allows better fit for younger babies.
Good luck with the seat and keep that lil ones rear-facing!!!
